Scot A. Squires, DBA, PCM, is an assistant professor of marketing at Ferris State University.
Before joining the faculty at Ferris, Dr. Squires was a marketing instructor at Central Michigan University and Indiana Wesleyan University.
More than a decade ago, Squires founded Spinning Beacon, an integrated marketing communications firm that consults on public relations, advertising, and marketing with clients around the country.
He has published academic papers and presented at national conferences on green marketing, generational cohorts, conjoint analysis, public policy, and consumer behavior.
Dr. Squires is a member of a very select group of experts recognized by the American Marketing Association as a Professional Certified Marketer.
Before becoming a professor and marketing strategist, Squires worked in the field of journalism.
He earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in communications/media studies from Judson University, an MBA in marketing and human resources from Baker College, and a Doctorate of Business Administration from the prestigious Grenoble Ecole de Management, in partnership with California State University Northridge.
Scot and his wife, Dr. Katie E. Squires, have two children. Together, they enjoy traveling, summers on the lake, and anything Disney.
