Professional activities and areas of interest

Varun Singireddy is a creative designer who is surging with passion toward games, design and programming. Driven by solving puzzles and logic all his life, he builds resources that contain a variety of solutions to design and code. After completing his Bachelors degree in Multimedia specializing in Game Development, Varun started his career as a Programmer in TAGStudio, Hyderabad, India. With a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interactive Design and Game Development from Savannah College of Art and Design, focusing on Behavioral Skill Trees, a method to reward players for their play-styles, he pursues to learn and adapt to the evolving industry standards. Flooding with energy, he inspires and motivates students, helping them learn creative solutions and build unique content. During summers of 2014-2016, Varun conducted several game design and non-digital game design workshops in the International Academy of Computer Graphics, Hyderabad, India.

As an instructor, Varun strongly believes that “experience impacts learning”, and motivational factors that promote the experience are games! He designs gamified experiences in his courses that engage students in playing a game, while they learn. Varun now lives in Big Rapids teaching full time at Ferris State University. He teaches Interaction Design, Programming, and Level Design courses.
