Information Security Knowledge Exchanged with Dutch Saxion University

As part of a faculty exchange between Ferris and Saxion University, Gerald Emerick, a professor in the Information Security and Intelligence (ISI) program, visited The Netherlands in December 2014.
Emerick delivered a seminar in Information Security titled “SQL Injection Attacks and Privilege Escalation” to two classes of Saxion students. Students safely simulates cyber attacks and countermeasures using Internet cloud technology used within the ISI program. The seminar was included in Saxion’s curriculum, and the Saxion students satisfied a course requirement by attending the seminar.
Three Saxion professors will visit Ferris’s ISI program in 2015. Professor Aad Wever will visit in January, to deliver a seminar on International Intelligence. Professors Kai Haveman and Theo Lansink will deliver a seminar on Cloud Security in April.
