Internship Programs Director Named President-Elect of National Society for Experiential Education

June 2, 2017

College of Business Internship Programs Director, Paul Kwant was recently named President-Elect of the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE).

Since joining the organization in 2014, Kwant has helped to shape the NSEE into what it is today. His mission has been to create positive change for both new and current members. As President-Elect, he looks forward to leading the NSEE as a member-friendly organization that focuses on advancing the field of experiential education.

“Over these past few years I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience,” said Kwant. “My goal is to not only help this organization grow, but apply the knowledge I have learned in helping College of Business students find internships and get the most of their college experience here at Ferris.”

On September 13, 2016, Kwant teamed up with the “Intern Queen”, Lauren Berger, for Meet the “Intern Queen”, an event that took place on the Ferris State Big Rapids campus.

On September 26, 2017, Kwant and Berger will co-present at the NSEE Annual Conference.  Their session will be called “Preparing First-Generation, Millennial and Generation Z Students for High Impact Internship Experiences and Post-College Success”.

Kwant will begin his new role as President of the NSEE in September 2020. More information about the organization can be found at nsee.org.
