M.B.A. requirements

The M.B.A. program provides knowledge across multiple business disciplines, preparing you to lead and grow in many professional settings. Foundation, core and elective courses are listed below.

Foundation requirements

All foundation requirements must be completed before beginning core or elective requirements. The foundation requirements are online, self-paced and consist of the following courses: Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Statistics, and Economics. These courses are considered prep courses that a candidate must successfully complete. They are not courses for credit, therefore, are less expensive and can be completed quickly.

Core requirements

Through an industry advised list of core courses, students develop well-rounded professional competencies. Each core course is three credits.

Elective requirements and concentrations

The elective requirements and concentrations provide the opportunity to tailor the M.B.A. program to your specific interests and career goals. The three course, 9-credit requirement can be fulfilled the following ways:

  • Complete three elective business courses from a broad range of offerings.
  • Complete one concentration, which consists of three courses (9 credit hours) within a designated group.
