Second Annual Internship Awareness Day
September 19, 2016
The College of Business Internship Office and College of Business Dean’s Office will be co-hosting the second annual Internship Awareness Day on Thursday, Sept. 22.
“The event is not a typical career fair,” said College of Business Internship Coordinator Paul Kwant, “Our employer partners have been encouraged to speak candidly with our students regarding professionalism, appropriate communication, and offer resume critiques.”
Internship Awareness Day has been created out of a need for employer & internship providers to meet students and faculty directly within the College of Business. With over 20 employers in attendance, students will be able to learn about internship opportunities that are available. Organizations like Meijer will offer over 100 internships in summer 2017.
The Internship Awareness Day event is open to all students from all majors. It will be held in the IRC connector from 11am to 1pm.
“Students should make sure to dress professionally, bring multiple copies of their resume, and prepare to dazzle our guest.” Kwant said.
