PTM Major Interns at the Professional Tennis Registry
My favorite part of the internship so far has been being on Hilton Head Island. I work five days a week and have the weekends to enjoy the beautiful island.
Troy Rondeau, a Pro-Tennis Management student, is spending his summer on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina interning for Professional Tennis Registry.
Rondeau has taken on the role of the Social and Digital Media and Marketing Intern. He has been working with the Professional Tennis Registry’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube posts and facilitating the contests that accompany their events. He has been mainly working on a project related to the company’s trip advisors for the Educating Gateways, a workshop for tennis professional to participate in during their vacations.
The Professional Tennis Registry is an organization that provides a universal language and progressions for tennis teaching. The program includes education materials, career opportunities and assistance, and worldwide recognition potential for its 14,800 members.
“My favorite part of the internship so far has been being on Hilton Head Island. I work five days a week and have the weekends to enjoy the beautiful island,” said Rondeau.
Rondeau credits his success at the Professional Tennis Registry to his education from the Marketing Strategy class that covers developing and executing marketing strategies, programs, audits, and plans with an emphasis on strategic and tactical marketing decisions.
Rondeau will be graduating in December and will be the Vice President of the Professional Tennis Member Student Association for the 2014-2014 academic year.
